New Delhi: The Central Vigilance Commission has begun probing an alleged Commonwealth Games recruitment scam after complaints of ghost employees on Organising Committee's muster rolls violating norms while inducting people.
CAG which has been looking at the expenditure details of the OC is also probing this recruitment scam.
The complaints of fraudulent recruitment process by OC was made to CVC to figure out how many people were on permanent pay roll and how many on contract.
Sources say that CVC officials have seized the documents related to recruitments done last year. CWG chief Suresh Kalmadi was also questioned on this in his deposition before the CBI.The OC has at present about 250 employees who are being relieved in a phased manner.
