DA case: CBI special court allows ED to question Jagan Mohan Reddy

New Delhi: A CBI special court on Friday gave permission to the Enforcement Directorate to question YSR Congress chief Jagan Mohan Reddy in connection with a disproportionate assets case.

The ED had earlier this week sought permission from the court to question the former Congress leader only as a suspect and not as an accused in the case, after Reddy refused to allow it to record his statement.

During hearing of its petition, the ED told the court that it wanted to record Jagan’s statement as the then chairman and director of Jagathi Publications Private Limited.

The ED had on Monday sought permission to question the Kadapa MP as a suspect and not as an accused in the case.

Jagathi Publications is listed as accused no 12 in the first charge sheet filed by the CBI.
