Bangalore: Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa's questioning in the Rs 66 crore disproportionate assets case has come to an end for the day on Friday. A special court in Bangalore is hearing the case.

It was second day of court appearance for Jayalalithaa on Friday and she was questioned based on the evidence provided by 150 witnesses. The hearing will continue on Saturday.

On Thursday, special judge BM Mallikarjunaiah, who is hearing the case, asked Jayalalithaa 380 questions regarding properties she owned and statements of witnesses.

Special arrangements were made and the hearing in the more-than-a-decade-old corruption case was held inside Bangalore's Central Jail.

Appearance of Jayalalithaa as an accused in the 1996 corruption case is a reminder of an uncomfortable past for the Chief Minister who's pleas for an exemption from a personal appearance was rejected by the Supreme Court in September.
