New Delhi: 'Dabangg 2' is receiving accolades from the common movie-goers as well as film celebrities. Film actor Ajay Devgn has praised Salman Khan for his portrayal of inspector Chulbul Pandey. He tweets, "Saw Dabangg 2...Pandeyji humne bhi kya seeti bajayee aap ke liye!"
The film opened to mixed reviews and is doing well at the ticket window. 'Dabangg 2' collected around Rs 64 crore in its first weekend.
Ram Gopal Varma also tweeted about the film, "I think Salman Khan's films are nothing but critics worst nightmares coming true."
He further tweets, "I think Salman khan smashed the auteur theory forever by proving that a director is irrelevant to the success of a film."
This is Salman Khan's second smash hit of 2012. Earlier, his 'Ek Tha Tiger' had created new collection records.
Salman Khan had done a cameo in Ajay Devgn's 'Son of Sardaar', which grossed more than Rs 100 crore at the box office.
