Click to play videoMumbai: Actors Zayed Khan and Raima Sen turned up quite late to be star guests at a dandiya contest but they hadn’t practised and it showed.
The contest winners were to interact with Zayed and Raima in a moving bus that hit dandiya hotspots. To kickstart the bus ride, the actors were made to dance on top of the decorated bus. But this time around, the extras were better at dancing than the actors themselves. Zayed and Raima obviously haven't tried their hand at dandiya for some time now. But Zayed's enthusiasm more than made up for it.
"It has been a long long time since school at Jamnabhai Narsi when I last did dandiya. But I have always enjoyed dancing to dandiya and I feel Indian festivals add a lot of color to the regular day," he said.
While Zayed made an attempt to pick up the dance steps, Raima seemed clueless. Perhaps her disinterest has a lot to do with the fact that dandiya doesn't hold any memories for her. "I last did dandiya when I was 15 so I don't know much about the festival these days," she said.
