Darsheel Safary sure knows how to sell his brand

Mumbai: The price of fame - being mobbed and that is what Darsheel Safary was when he had gone for an endorsement.

"I got so badly mobbed. Children were screaming my name and I told them 'don't scream, I'm right here'," says he.

Despite the mob 11-year-old Darsheel Safary is enjoying all the attention. The star of Aamir Khan's directorial debut Taare Zameen Par, has signed on a children's clothes brand and going by the looks of it, this is one kid who has got his brand endorsement lines pat.

"Oyo is also smart and I'm also smart," he parrots a line.

And even though Aamir Khan has had another hit with Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na, his little co-star Darsheel does not think that Aamir uncle has a Midas touch of any sort.

"No, it's not all golden touch and all. It's hardwork as well. If Taare Zameen Par became a hit, then its because of hardwork," says he.

For now, Darsheel hasn't taken on anymore filmi assignments for his homework keeps him busy.

"I like studying. I go to school everyday, then my dad says you can take two days off and then you can study even harder," he explains.

And this little star is one of those rare kids whose homework schedule also includes being a brand ambassador.
