Hyderabad: An associate of Dawood Ibraham was arrested in Hyderabad on April 13 and brought to Mumbai on Friday.
Parveen Sultan was arrested on charges of dealing in fake currency.
Fake currency worth Rs 12.5 lakh was recovered from her.
Forty-five-year-old Praveen was taken into custody from her residence at Bagikhana by a team of Mumbai police officals on Friday.
Mumbai police had recently arrested another alleged Dawood henchman, Shadur Rehman, who in turn led them to Praveen.
A team of Mumbai police had arrived in Hyderabad last week and after keeping a watch on the activities of Praveen, raided her house with the help of local police.
Praveen has been remanded to police custody until the April 26.
