Defence Ministry reworks on its budget as fuel price rises

New Delhi: The rising prices of international crude is also affecting defence supplies. The Defence Ministry has asked armed forces to reduce use of fuel by 20 to 40 per cent, Army sources said.

Sources said the order came in the wake of sharp increase in fuel prices and has upset the Defence budget calculations.

Sources said the Army is reworking on its budget and it will not affect essential movement or training.
