Basel: Juan Martin del Potro eased into Swiss Indoors final by beating Richard Gasquet of France 6-2, 6-2 on Saturday. The second-seeded Argentinian will face either Roger Federer or another Frenchman, Paul-Henri Mathieu, on Sunday.
Del Potro's eighth ace sealed his 61st victory of the season, a career best. He improved to 16-1 on indoor hard courts in 2012, with his only loss coming against Federer in the Rotterdam final in February.
Del Potro, who won the Vienna title last week, says his play was "almost perfection, but I need to improve a little bit for tomorrow."
