He has confessed that the bombs used in the September 13th blasts came from Karnataka.
“Saif had bought these explosives from Bangalore, “says Karnail Singh from the special cell.
Teams have been dispatched to Dharwad, Udupi, Manipal and Mangalore for possible leads. A student at Manipal university is also being questioned. It has also come to light that SIMI held several meetings in Karnataka recently.
Sources say SIMI is active in south, the attack outside the IISC in Bangalore, Mecca Masjid blasts in Hyderabad, recent bombing in Bangalore are the testimony to this fact.
Sources also suggest that the phone records of slain terrorist Atif show he had visited all the blast sites in Delhi a day before. These records can be used as crucial evidence in court. The Jaipur police has meanwhile, confirmed that Atif had masterminded the May 13th blasts in the city.
