The student alleges that she knew the accused lecturer Virendra Singh, who taught at Delhi University's Satyawati College, for quite some time She alleged that Singh entered into a physical relationship with her after promising to marry her.
But when the girl living in Delhi's Rohini area realised that Singh was duping her, she filed a rape complaint against him at the police station. According to the victim, the lecturer was preparing to marry some other girl despite promising her the same.
