New Delhi: The investigations into the Delhi blasts are in top gear. A team of Delhi Police officers have reached Ahmedabad to interrogate Abu Bashar, a SIMI operative who was arrested on August 16 in connection with the Ahmedabad blasts.

Delhi Police Spokesperson, Rajan Bhagat says, "We have some strong leads. We are working on all possible angles."

Sources have told CNN-IBN that at least two suspects have been picked from from the Shaheen Bagh and Kalindi Kunj area of Delhi, with more detentions being expected from other parts of the city as well.

Police sources have confirmed that the Delhi bombs matched the ones used in the Ahmedabad blasts. Ammonium nitrate was used as an explosive, with metal ball bearings and nuts and bolts. The unexploded bomb also had the same make of timer clock. However, while the Gujarat bombs had one detonator, two were used in Delhi.

Rajan Bhagat says, "We didn't have information but we were generally alert that's why the terrorists used only dustbins."

Ordinary citizens like an 11-year-old balloon seller - who claimed to have seen two men dressed in black place the bomb in a dustbin - and an autorickshaw driver who dropped one of the suspects at the blast site - are proving to be of critical help in the police's bid to crack the case.

A team from the Delhi Police is on its way to Azamgarh in Uttar Pradesh to search for three suspected terrorists - Habibe alias Hussan, Khalid and Shah Alam.

Gujarat police say the four men namely Alamzeb, Afridi, Raquib and Muzib spoke to Tauqeer many times before the Delhi blasts.

In a related development the Delhi Police is likely today to release the sketches of the suspects who planted the bombs sources say that the involvement of local sleeper cells is unlikely and that it is probably a group from Eastern UP that planted the bombs

A team of Delhi police officers is now in Ahmedabad to interrogate Abu Bashar, the SIMI operative who was arrested on August 16 in connection with the Ahmedabad blasts.'

Meanwhile the Mumbai Police too have joined the investigations into the Delhi serial blasts, with the e-mail sent by the Indian Mujahideen being traced to an office in Chembur owned by a man named MK Kamath.

Mumbai Anti-Terroist Squad (ATS) Senior Police Inspector, Harish Rathod says, "We have questioned Kamath and his sons."

With at least three terror e-mails being traced to Mumbai addresses, the ATS has now decided to list all un-secure wi-fi connections in the city. And in Delhi, police have asked all the four major telecom operators to give them a list of all pre-paid connections that have been bought in the last 15 days.
