New Delhi: One person was killed and another injured when police allegedly opened fire at youngsters to stop them from performing stunts on their motorcycles at Parliament Street in New Delhi on Sunday. The condition of the injured person is said to be stable.
According to reports, the person was accidentally killed after a group of bike-borne men pelted stones at the police who were trying to stop them from performing stunts on their motorcycle. Three policemen are also reportedly injured. Police claim they fired at the youngsters to stop the stone pelting.
Both the injured were rushed to the RML hospital, where one of them succumbed to his injuries. According to sources, the police was aiming at the tires of motorcycles. Reports suggest there were around 35 bike-borne men who were performing stunts at around 2.00 am when the incident happened.
