New Delhi: One more murder has been added in Delhi’s rising crime graph.
A 21-year-old girl was stabbed to death, allegedly by her domestic help in North Delhi on Thursday.
Surabhi Sharma was aiming for the sky as her dream was to become an airhostess, but it was brutally cut short.
She was stabbed and hit on the head with a hammer on Wednesday night, allegedly by the family’s domestic help, Pawan, who has been with the family for 12 years.
Surabhi’s mother and father were also stabbed and are in a critical condition.
“He had gone up at around 12:30 and had hidden upstairs. He had all the tools handy,” says Surabhi’s relative, Naveen Gupta.
The police say Surabhi was attacked after she allegedly saw Pawan committing a robbery inside the house.
“We have arrested the man. The motive behind the act is robbery,” PRO, Delhi Police, Rajan Bhagat.
Even as the police and the family insist that the motive behind the murder and the attack on the family was robbery there are speculations that this is crime of passion.
