Delhi landing for giant plane A380

New Delhi: The world's largest jet airliner, the Airbus A380, will land in Delhi on Sunday.

The A380 is the world's first double-deck passenger aircraft and can seat up to 550-900 people. It’s dropping by today to celebrate the second anniversary of the private Kingfisher Airlines. Kingfisher has ordered five A380s, at a whopping $ 300 million for each plane.

The aircraft is nicknamed of Super-jumbo, and it deserves it. An A380’s wingspan is 79.8 m—as big as a football field

Kingfisher has ordered 10 aircraft with options for five more. Liquor baron Vijay Mallya who owns Kingfisher says his airline the first to order A380 in India.

Only three airports in India, Delhi, Mumbai and Kochi, can accommodate to the plane.
