New Delhi: Eight days after a chemist was attacked by the Personal Security Officers (PSOs) of a senior Samajawadi Party leader, an FIR has been lodged by the police. However, no arrests have been made yet. Ashok Mallik was beaten up on September 18 and till September 25 afternoon there was no FIR registered.
The CCTV visual shows how SP leader's goons are beating up a hapless chemist. The Police has registered an FIR and began an investigation only after this shocking footage was exposed in the public. The footage exposes how common people are being intimidated by the politically influential people.
"Finally they have registered a case. I have given the CCTV footage and they will have to investigate it now," said Ashok Malik.
The victim has claimed that he was beaten up after a telephonic fight with a woman related to a senior Samajwadi Party leader.
"We checked the number through true caller and it was of some Richa Yadav," said Jasbir Mallik, brother-in-law of Ashok Malik.
Meanwhile, the police appears to be dragging their feet and are yet to make any progress in the case. They have claimed that the victim didn't give a written complaint or get a medical check-up as per the procedure. They have also refused to come on record about their next stage of investigation.
