New Delhi: Delhi civic agencies have been intimated by police about 4,550 illegal constructions in the city till Feb 28, the Lok Sabha was informed on Tuesday.
"A total of 4,550 intimations have been sent by Delhi Police to civic agencies about illegal construction till Feb 28 this year," said Minister of State for Home Affairs Mullappally Ramachandran in a written reply.
A total of 83,940 such intimations have been notified by Delhi Police to the civic agencies during the last three years and the current year.
A total of 29,203 such notices were sent to the civic agencies in 2012 and 4,550 cases have been reported in 2013 till February 28.
In 2010, as many as 20,152 intimations were sent, while 30,035 intimations were sent in 2011.
