New Delhi: In an embarrassment for the Delhi Police, it has come to light in an official report that its men colluded and aided murder convicts Vikas and Vishal Yadav, who are serving a life sentence for the murder of Nitish Katara.
According to All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) records, Vikas was missing from his hospital room on Diwali night in October 2011.
Now CNN-IBN has accessed the Delhi police's preliminary enquiry report about the incident. The report indicts head constable Ishwar Singh and constable Ramesh who were guarding Vikas Yadav.
The Delhi police have pulled up the men in question
Nitish Katara’s mother Neelam Katara said, “Is this the legal system. If this is the way things work then it will be very frustrating. Looks like a person can walk in and out of jail and go home as well.”
