Delhi school tops India's day schools list

New Delhi: Education World Magazine and research firm C-fore have complied a list of 250 best education institutions across 15 metros in the country.

Based on the opinions of parents, principals, teachers and educationists, all the institutions were rated on 12 parameters.

“It is the only survey about schools. It would enable parents to choose schools that are appropriate,” says publisher and editor, Education World Dilip Thakore.

Shri Ram School, Delhi tops the list in the best day school category. The school scores high for its focus on co-curricular activities.

A close second is Cathedral and John Cannon School, Mumbai with the most illustrious alumni.

La Martiniere Boys, Kolkata is next with infrastructure and co curricular activities being its stronghold.

DAV Boys, Chennai is at number four. The school earns a distinction in its academic reputation.

Doon School, Dehradun has been voted as the best boarding school because of its faculty, infrastructure and quality of alumni.

Rishi Valley, Chitoor is next in the list. It has been credited for giving individual attention to students and emphasis on sports education.

Appearing third on the boarding school list is Mayo College, Ajmer.

Apart from these day and boarding schools, 27 international schools were also accessed for the survey.

Woodstock, Mussoorie tops the list followed by Kodaikanal International School, Ooty, Indus International School, Bangalore and British School, Delhi.
