Fifty-one-year-old Bhishen Swarup allegedly shot at 40 year old Kanwar Singh Bhandari on Monday afternoon with his duty rifle, after an altercation.
The accused is an employee of a Syndicate Bank branch in Paschim Vihar area of New Delhi.
The police have detained Swarup for questioning and the victim's body has been taken to the Sanjay Gandhi hospital in the Mangolpuri area in the city.
