New Delhi: Getting admission into the Delhi University seems to be getting tougher every year. The first cut-off lists for 2012 are out and in some relief for the students, there is no 100 per cent cut off this year. But the average cut-off has gone up by about 0.5 per cent.
The cut-off for Science courses has now risen to 99.25 per cent while for BCom courses it is as high as 97 per cent. Authorities claim cut-offs are steadily going up because students are performing better in their Class 12 board exams.
In 2012, 28,000 students scored above 90 per cent, which is three times the number in 2011.
