Detained doc knew Jaipur blasts suspect

New Delhi: A medical student who was released after being detained for two days by the police in the Jaipur blasts case, Abrar Ali, says he knew blasts' suspect, Salim alias Sajid Mansuri.

Salim was one of the two Jaipur blasts suspects arrested by the Gujarat Police.

Abrar Ali said Salim was with him in his room the evening before the day blasts took place. Abrar however denied being aware of what Sajid's alleged intentions were.

"I knew him as Salim and he was here with me a day before the blasts. But there was no sign in his body language that he was planning something as big as that. Nothing of that sort showed," Abrar Ali says.

Police sources say they have released Abrar as well as Anwar Hussain, another medical student held from Niwai, though they are still keeping a watch on them.

The police have also detained Munawar Khan a tailor from Kota for questioning. He had surrendered before the police who were on the look out for him after going missing for two days.
