New Delhi: The Information and Broadcasting Ministry felicitated the evergreen star Dev Anand to mark the completion of 60 years of his film company Nav Ketan Films.
The company has given the industry some priceless gems like - Tere Ghar Ke Saamne, Nau Do Gyara, Hum Dono, Guide etc.
I joined the film industry in 1945. India got independence in 1947 and I formed my company in 1949 and in 2009 when I receive this award I am overwhelmed, said Anand.
Nav Ketan Films is not only remembered for its movies but also for producing some legendary music.
The occasion also marked the first screening of the 1961 hit Hum Dono in colour.
After Naya Daur, Mughal-e-Azam, Hum Dono is the third black and white Indian classic which has colourised.
The coloured version of Hum Dono will have a worldwide release, said Anand.
