There are just 13 days to go before the JD (S) is supposed to hand over power to coalition ally the BJP in accordance with the power-sharing pact between the two parties.
The transfer of power is scheduled for October 3, but there is resistance from within the JD (S) ranks.
Speculation is rife also because the JD (S) has also called an emergency meeting of its legislature party on Tuesday.
All its MLAs will be participating in that meeting, slated for 1800 hrs (IST).
