Diesel prices to go up by 40 to 50 paise per litre every month on a regular basis

New Delhi: Diesel prices set to go up monthly after the government decided to withdraw diesel subsidy. Oil companies say they will increase the price of diesel by 40 to 50 paise per litre every month.

The price will continue to be increased till decided otherwise. The intention is to reduce the subsidy on diesel gradually.

Currently the diesel subsidy stands at around Rs 10 per litre.
