Click to play videoMumbai: It was quite a different music release. There was actually a showcase of what was up for grabs. The entire cast and crew of the Dil Dosti Etc including actor Shreyas Talpade, newcomers Nikita Anand, Ishita, producer Prakash Jha were present.
The only person missing was Imaad Shah, who couldn’t make it for the event, because he was hospitalised with a fractured leg. But one thing that was not missing is the good music.
"The music is different. It rocks and we are sure that audiences will fall in love with it,” said Music Directors Siddharth- Sahas.
Judging by the promos, Dil Dosti Etc looks like a fresh college flick set against the background of love and politics.
“There are five main characters in the film. One is from Bihar. Two kids, a girl and a boy are the rich ones. Then, one is a schoolgirl while another is a prostitute,” said Shreyas Taldpade.
But here's the catch. It’s not just a college film, there's a Satyajit Ray connection to it as well. So we have Apu from the Satyajit Ray Trilogy transformed into Apoorva in Delhi. Confused? So are we, So, let the director do the talking.
“I have taken Apu from Calcutta to Mumbai,” said Director Manish Tiwary.
So will it live upto Apu's name? We will find out when the film releases on September 21.
