New Delhi: The Bharatiya Janata Party on Tuesday asked the government to disclose how a sensitive letter on defence preparedness written by Army chief VK Singh to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh was leaked.
Raising the issue in Rajya Sabha during zero hour, BJP MP Balbir Punj asked the government to disclose who was behind the leak.
"Forty-seven days have passed and we do not know who was responsible for the leak. There has to be leakage somewhere. Government should tell who is responsible for it. The prime minister should reply," he demanded.

The army chief had written the letter to prime minister March 12, and it found its way to the media March 28.
Punj termed it a "matter of grave concern for the security of the nation" as the letter in question focused on the shortage of equipment and artillery.
The government has already denied the report about the source of the leak having been identified. The army chief had written the letter to prime minister March 12, and it found its way to the media March 28.
