The national capital has been host to quite a few celebrity DJ's over the last few years.
The latest of them to hit the circuit was Dutch sensation Armin van Buuren who's one of the best in the world.
His presence also shed light on the capital's booming global trance.
The 32-year-old musician born in Holland into a musically inclined family is one of the top most DJs in the world and well known for his signature style trance music. It is said about him that he used his mother's computer at the age of 10 to write Basic programmes, then progressed to making the usual tapes for his friends putting them together on a set of decks that he wore out learning how to mix.
His addiction to music goes that far back into his fabled childhood.
Armin's known for his own style of uplifting and euphoric trance. He has made the globe his play ground over the last decade and has a dedicated following that knows his tracks by the beat.
So when he was in the capital, Armin made sure that he gave Delhi a set that would be true to his style anywhere because it had become amply evident that the capital knew its trance like a Bible. He enthralled Indian music buffs who could make their way to the Indochine club.
Trance has become a broader term for a lot of different genres and is no longer a specific kind of music within the dance scene.
