London: Jade Goody was staying alive Friday through willpower and what her doctors called her 'strong heart'.
Taking a brief break from her bedside vigil at Jade's home in Upshire, Essex, mum Jackiey, 50, told the website of The Mirror on Thursday, "The nurses are doing a fabulous job."
She added, "We cry, we laugh, we cry, we laugh. Me and Jack and Kevin break down every three minutes, then we start being idiots and try to laugh with each other."
A close friend of Jade's said doctors are amazed she is continuing to battle cancer.
The friend said, "Doctors are saying Jade is only hanging on because she has such a strong heart. They've rarely seen such a fighter."
Star Wars legend David Prowse, 73, who is battling prostate cancer, has sent Jade a message of support.
Prowse, who played Darth Vader, said Jade should be 'thoroughly proud' of all she has achieved in raising the awareness about cervical cancer.
