Don't link Fukushima with Kudankulam: Kakodkar

Press Trust of India

Manipal (Karnataka): former Atomic Energy Commission chairman Anil Kakodkar on Saturday termed the agitation against Kudankulam Nuclear Power Plant as "unfortunate".

Kakodkar asked the protestors not to link the issue with Fukushima Nuclear disaster in Japan.

"To link Kudankulam plant controversy to Fukushima is uncalled for. It was tsunami which destroyed Fukushima nuclear plant, not technical glitches in reactors," Kakodkar said.
