Dow Jones rejects News Corp's bid

New Delhi: The Dow Jones has rejected the third largest US media company News Corp's $5 billion takeover bid.

The Bancroft family which has a controlling stake of 50 per cent in the entity had rejected the bid.

Rupert Murdoch, chairman of News Corp, offered $60 per share for Dow Jones which owns Wall Street Journal, Dow Jones news wire and Barron's.
