Aap Ki Kacheri tries to solve people's issue

New Delhi: Former cop, Dr Kiran Bedi turned TV host and arbitrator with her latest show Aap Ki Kacheri that replaces the most popular prime time family drama, Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi.

The woman known to fight for justice is now using television for her personal show to have a greater outreach of her message of knowing your laws and how these laws can help smoothen your life.

It's been a week since Aap Ki Kachehri first hit the airwaves on December 1. It's a serious show that deals with open hearings of civil disputes with some lawful mediation by Dr Kiran Bedi.

"Something which is real, which is true but I salute to those who come to my show. And not just to benefit themselves but others too. I thank those people who dare to come and who come for a resolution, not to show their faces on TV," said Dr Bedi.

Dr Bedi said that she plays the independent third party in each case, dissecting it at all levels without any prejudice.

"Its not to satisfy both parties, but to judge and resolve the issue," she said.

And perhaps that is the reason why the entire infrastructure of her NGO is used to screen the cases before they are admitted to the show. While the TRPs will determine its standing in the market, for now, this is as real as reality TV can get.
