Durham: Geoff Cook, the coach of English County Championship side Durham, is in a "critical but stable" condition after a heart attack.
A club statement says Cook suffered the attack on Thursday, and remained in hospital on Friday.
England cricketers Graeme Swann and Matt Prior and former captain Michael Vaughan were among those who tweeted best wishes to Cook for a speedy recovery.
Cook, 61, played seven Tests and six one-day internationals for England in 1982 and 1983, and has been Durham coach since 2007. He led Durham to their first two county titles in 2007 and 2008.
