Dus Kahaniyaan actors cannot get over film

Mumbai: These days, one cannot do enough to promote one’s film, whether you are a director, distributor, singer or actor.

The clan of Dus Kahaniyaan seems to have taken this principle to heart.

So, despite the film having released in theatres to a luke-warm response, the cast of the film were busy smiling away for the shutterbugs at a Channel V party on Monday evening.

Aftaab Shivdasani who acted in one of the stories that make up the multi-story film, said, “I missed all the promotions of Dus Kahaniyaan. I was out of the country for two months, this was the opportunity to celebrate the success of the film.”

The cast also have favourites among the film’s ten stories.

For actor Jimmy Shergill, it’s Meghna Gulzar’s Purnimashi.

“It’s a brilliant, well-told script,” he enthused.

Actress Diya Mirza added that it is, “A story which stands out, has interesting content, not necessarily a twist, but is a story that people can identify with and connect.”

For Aftab, the choice was different.

“I like Manoj Bajpai and Diya Mirza's story – it’s my favourite,” he said.
