New Delhi: If you are at the Bahamas Sea Food Restaurant in Bethlehem, you will need to look out of the window to see the menu and choose what you want to order.
The property of 35-year-old Joseph Hazboun, this eatery has its menu painted on the controversial barrier wall separating Israel from the West Bank.
Hazboun says, "As you know the wall is something which is separating the West Bank from Israel and it is a very negative idea. We are trying to get a small hope, a small idea like to put some advertisement on the wall that will be connected between the wall and the restaurant."
Hazboun's restaurant closed down in 2000 during the Palestinian uprising and was reopened in July this year.
"We are in an area where there were a lot of shootings between the Israelis and the Palestinians and so we were forced to close the place," says he.
To bring in the crowds, Hazboun has added a veranda called the Wall Lounge. His aim is to make the veranda a place for youth to hang out.
The lounge has its own logo as well as signature dishes such as the Wall Chicken Sandwich, making it a must-visit if you are ever in Bethlehem.
