New Delhi: Sitting far away from India, painter MF Husain tried to share some moments of the launch of his autobiography named MF Husain-Untitled.
Pegged at Rs 495 and available in all leading bookstores, it's the first ever e-book in the form of a CD made on any artist in India. His paintings have been animated and his words narrated.
Released by top contemporary Indian artist Subodh Gupta, the book has been conceptualised by cultural activist Kamna Prasad who got it made in record time.
"It was more than three-and-a-half months. That was because Husain was in such a hurry, he jumped with joy, he always wants things now,” Prasad said.
But instead of a regular book reading session, there was a special theatrical presentation of Husain's growing up years.
"It is very well done and contemporary. Of course we miss Husain, don’t know what he would have thought of the play sitting with us,” Subodh Gupta said.
Apart from this, there was also a launch of a website called mfhusainat95.com, which once again is an online media campaign asking for the artist's return to India.
