New Delhi: It was a perfect groovy winter evening as Romanian artist and international star Edward Maya performed in Delhi on Saturday. Performing for the second time in India, Edward set the stage on fire on a windy rainy evening at the finale of Amity University's first Youth Festival in Noida.

With a crowd of almost 25,000, the national capital region did manage to see an international music star's concert finish successfully. Delhi had been longing for a concert by an international star, especially after big no-shows of Bryan Adams and Metallica last year. While sceptics did have questions till the end, this one was a hit show.

While initially it was getting difficult for the organisers to manage the huge crowds, they put in all efforts and made sure that the show was a success.

Crowds gathered at Amity's campus in Noida much before Edward's arrival. With the first glimpse of Edward on the stage with his band, the crowd gave a loud welcoming roar, which came in well with the star as he waved back.

Edward started the show with his latest song 'The Desert Rain', which has been a favourite among the youth of late. He then went on to perform hit pop and house numbers like 'Tonight's gonna be a good night', 'Give me everything tonight' ad 'Rise Up'. But the crowd's energy and roars became upbeat when Edward started with his chart topper, 'Stereo Love'.

Rain didn't stop the star from performing as he went on with his band without any interruption. Edward got his DJ's equipment covered when it rained, but like a true star he made sure he kept the show going and got the crowd moving to more chart-topping numbers including 'Save the world' and 'Yolande Be Cool'.

Eventually the show was a success as Edward left the crowds asking for more. Delhiites would certainly want the star back and as the concert ended at a positive note, this may set the stage for more international stars to perform in the national capital.
