New Delhi: Television tsarina Ekta Kapoor's epic Kahaani Humaaray Mahaabhaarat Ki, which currently airs on entertainment channel 9X, will now be available for viewers in Britain too.
The telecast of this modern version of the Hindu epic will begin on Monday on channel 9X, which is available in Britain on the BSkyB platform. The English-subtitled show will air from Monday to Thursday at 2200 hrs IST.
“Kahaani Humaaray Mahabharat Ki has been made for a wider audience, not just for Indians living in India but all over the world, and I am delighted that 9X is taking this great epic story to TV lovers in the UK,” Ekta said at a press conference in the capital on Saturday.
Starring TV actors like Ronit Roy, Jaya Bhattacharya and Makrand Deshpande, the show has also been included in Tamil channel Raj TV's programming schedule from September 15.
The Tamil version of Ekta's serial has been titled Mahabharatham and airs on weekdays at 7 p.m.
As for the original Hindi version that began in July, the show is reaching a stage where a lot of high drama of the epic begins.
This is billed to be Ekta's biggest project ever and she has engaged a powerful technical team to give the best graphics, special effects, sets and costumes.
