Couple murdered in Delhi, servant suspect

New Delhi: Even as the police grapple with the sensational Noida double murder, another case has been reported from the affluent Neeti Bagh area in South Delhi.

An elderly couple was found murdered at C-61, Neeti Bagh, on Monday morning and their residence ransacked.

The couple Ashok (62), a former purchase manager with Taj Mahal Hotel, and his wife Lata (55) were found with their

throats slit by the police who were informed by their neighbour.

The neighbour had been asked by their grandson to check on them as their phone was going unanswered.

Mukesh Yadav, a domestic help, employed a few days ago, is missing. Incidentally, the servant's verification was due an and application was put up on Sunday.

Police suspect Yadav to be involved in the murder and is sending a team to his hometown in Bhagalpur, Bihar.

"There house was ransacked, and the servant stayed in the house long enough to know what was kept where," said DCP South District, HGS Dhaliwal.

"There are deep slashes on the victim's necks. The rest will be clear only after the postmortem," he added.
