Mumbai: An elderly woman was found murdered at her residence in a north west suburb in the wee hours today, police said.
Surekha Narvekar (75), who lived alone, was found stuffed under a bed at her apartment in suburban Charkop on Monday morning, they said.
A blood soaked club, used to wash clothes was also found near the body, police officials said adding further investigations were on.
Her body was found inside her home when neighbours detected a foul smell. The killing is suspected to be the work of a robber, becuase her jewellery was found missing.
