IANS

Kochi: Kerala Police on Saturday readied sketches of a person who allegedly sent e-mails threatening to kill Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and President APJ Abdul Kalam during their visit to the state.

The mail - addressed to top police officials and the home secretary Thursday - was traced to a cyber cafe in Kochi's Padma Junction. The cafe owner and staff are being questioned.

"We have got the sketch ready. It is based on what the people working in the internet cafe has described to us," Kochi Commissioner of Police P Vijayan said.

From the description given to the police, the person is believed to be aged between 25 and 30 years.

"He was working on the computer from 1415 hrs to 1630 hrs (IST) on Thursday and the picture has been drawn based on what they have said," he added.

Additional director general of police Rajan Madekhar is now leading the investigation. The police are also maintaining a strict vigil at the three border places in the state.
