Mumbai: The Economic offence wing of the Mumbai police has completed their investigation into the misappropriation of funds by former BCCI Chief Jagmohan Dalmiya. And they have allegedly found evidence of misappropriation of Rs 2.90 crores.
Economic offence wing officers are likely to file a charge-sheet in the sessions court on Wednesday holding Dalmiya guilty of cheating, criminal breach of trust, and conspiracy.
“I don’t have anything against anybody and I don’t believe in harboring grudges. Since I have been in the public eye for such a long time I have always believed that personal and professional lives should be kept different,” said BCCI President Sharad Pawar.
CAB's K M Choudhary and Gautam Dutta have also been named in the charge-sheet as co-accused.
Dalmiya has been asked to be present in the sessions court on Wednesday. And depending on the case made out against him, the court will decide weather to extend his bail or to arrest him.
Considering the gravity of the charges against him, Dalmiya's bail might get canceled.
