Goyal gets emotional, says sorry to Jet

New Delhi: Jet Airways Chairman Naresh Goyal announced all the employees retrenched by the airline will be taken back on board.

In a late-night press conference convened on Thursday night, an emotional Goyal aplogised to all the employees and clarified the decision was not taken under political pressure.

“Nobody including my wife is involved (in this matter). All the employees are my family, I cannot see tears in their eyes,” he said.

Goyal also said the decision had nothing to do with Jet’s alliance with Vijay Mallya-operated Kingfisher.

Distancing from the decision that provoke sharp protest from the employees and some political parties Goyal said, "Management has decided it and when I read about it I saw tears in the eyes of their eyes, I decided on my own to call

them back.

"There is no internal or external pressure... as a family we will decide how to fly and keep the airline offload," Goyal said.
