London: The uncapped Middlesex seam bowler James Harris has been called into England's squad for the three Twenty20 internationals in New Zealand as the England board acted swiftly to Stuart Meaker's neck strain.
Meaker did not play England's washed out tour opener against a New Zealand XI in Whangarei and the ECB on Monday announced that Harris, 22, would link up with the squad ahead of the series starting on February 6.
Harris had earlier been called up to England's Twenty20 squad in December following an injury to the captain Stuart Broad. In 29 domestic Twenty20 matches Harris has taken 24 wickets at an average of 30.12 and economy rate of 8.78.

The uncapped Middlesex seam bowler has been drafted in as cover for Stuart Meaker ahead of the three-match series in New Zealand.
In September 2012 he decided to leave his home Glamorgan to move to Middlesex on a three-year deal.
