Mumbai: Today's international entertainment wrap has former Disney star Hilary Duff shedding her good girl image for her latest movie War Inc and 38 years after his death in 1970 Jimi Hendrix is still making news.
War Inc:
Duff was at the premiere of her latest movie War Inc at the Tribeca Festival in New York and said that her role in the film takes a serious turn from real life. Known as a good girl, Duff plays a pop star Yonica for this film, and says that she had to visit her dark side.
"It was a challenge because it's finding a character who is so different from my personal life and how people will perceive me. What was on my mind was that when people see this are they going to freak out? But then I said, this is acting and I am an actor. It was a challenge and I wanted to go for it. Stepping into the whole outfit and the accent made it easy in a way but that part was challenging," says Duff.
War Inc is a dark political satire that also stars Marisa Tomei, Dan Aykroyd and John Cusack who plays a corporate hit man who travels to the embattled country of Turaqistan, to kill a Middle East oil minister.
He poses as a trade show manager and oversees the wedding of a pop singer played by Duff, to get close to his target.
Directed by Joshua Seftel War Inc hits US theatres on May 23.
Pineapple Express:
After starring in films like Knocked Up and Donnie Darko, Canadian actor , comedian and writer Seth Rogen gets in trouble over a rare strain of Marijuana in Pineapple Express.
Rogen plays , a lazy stoner who witnesses a murder by a drug lord and a crooked cop and flees the scene forgetting his weed. The film also stars James Franco as a drug dealer who also gets caught up in the mess as the bad guys set out to get both him and Rogen.
Directed by David Gordon Green Pineapple Express hits theaters August 8.
Jimi Hendrix Sex Tape
Good news for all Jimi Hendrix fans, as you might be able to a get a fresh glimpse of the late rock idol, however the bad news is that you might just get to see more than you bargained for.
A distributor of adult videos, is releasing a DVD, which includes what the company claims is sexually explicit footage of the legendary rock guitarist, who died in 1970 at age 27.
