Ernakulam racks up 90.28 pass percentage

KOCHI: Ernakulam District came out with flying colours in the Kerala Higher Secondary School Examinations. The district notched up a record pass percentage of 90. 28, as compared to the 86.28 per cent recorded last year.
Out of the 27,518 students who appeared for the examinations, 24,998 have qualified for higher studies.
Fourteen schools had 100 per cent students pass the exam, whereas it was seven last year.
The number of students who got an A-plus grade in all subjects was 372 compared to 373 last year.
In the Technical Higher Secondary section, the district topped in the number of students who received a A-plus grade in all subjects.
Out of the 455 students who appeared for the exam in the technical section, 24 secured an A-plus grade in all subjects while 426 cleared the exam. The pass percentage stood at 93.63. In the Open School category, a total of 5,512 students qualified to pursue higher education.
