New Delhi: In a bizarre incident, at least 12 cases of eve-teasing were reported from the north campus of Delhi University on Saturday.
Shockingly, the girls were harassed by police recruits who had come to take an entrance exam.
Now, in a first, the students of Indraprastha College have raised their voices against the incident that happened just outside their college gate.
More than 500 students gathered outside the Vice Chancellor's office in Delhi University on Wednesday morning and shouted slogans.
They demanded that the examination be declared null and void and better security arrangements be made for students.
They also demanded that immediate action be taken against policemen who were on duty nearby, as they failed to come to their rescue even after they shouted for help.
Incidentally, this area in the north campus is notorious for being unsafe.
IP college students complain, on many instances earlier, they have faced lewd gestures and vulgar comments of people in broad daylight
