New Delhi: Former British prime minister Tony Blair is in Delhi, talking to the Indian Government on saving the planet from the climate change crisis.
Though concerned about Tibet, Blair – in an exclusive interview with CNN-IBN – clearly came out supporting China.
“Like everyone else, I want this issue to be resolved peacefully with Tibet. In the broader term, I think it's important that we, in the West, have some understanding on the challenges that China faces and an absolutely central pre-occupation is how do we industrialise a population of hundreds and millions of people that are going to move from agrarian economy to an industrial economy?” he said.
Tony Blair spoke about much more in a candid interview with Vidya Shankar Aiyar. Watch Tony Blair Unplugged, Friday, 1830 hrs (IST) on CNN-IBN.
