And they aren't doing it alone. Hema Malini's got daughters Esha and Ahana with her, Kajol's holding on to hubby Ajay Devgun and Saif has teamed up with sister Soha.
"We are one of the few brother-sister combos in the industry and we are doing two endorsements together. I am also doing one endorsement with my mother, but that's because we are doing family brands like paints, computer etc," says Soha.
But it's more than just a smooth marketing strategy. For some of these stars whose careers aren't exactly shining, a pairing with their more successful family member is just what the marketing guru ordered.
You remain in the public eye while making a quick buck off it and so keep expecting more pair-ups for more brands.
Like Hema Mailini says: "There have been a lot of inquiries for the three of us to come in more commercials together and maybe we will in the future."
So, the formula is simple but very effective if you are struggling with your film career and have a star in the family — just hook up and cash in.
