New Delhi: In new developments in the Sohrabuddin fake counter case, the Rajasthan government has finally suspended M N Dinesh, the Alwar SP who was arrested in connection with the case.
Dinesh's suspension will be effective April 24 onwards since he was arrested by the police on that date.
The suspension order formally came 20 days after he was arrested.
Interestingly, according to the law, any officer who has been in police custody for more than 48 hours is to be suspended.
The Rajasthan Home Ministry, in response, has cited incomplete paperwork as the reason for the delay.
